Aliness Borage Seed Oil 1000 mg is a source of natural omega-6 fatty acids in an accessible form of soft capsules. The product contains high-quality, natural oil obtained from borage seeds, which is characterized by a high content of gamma-linolenic acid ( 20% GLA ) and linoleic acid ( 35% LA ), as well as the addition of natural vitamin E ( D-alpha-tocopherol ).
Each capsule provides 200 mg of GLA, 350 mg of LA and 10 mg of natural vitamin E. Borage ( Borago officinalis ) is an annual plant belonging to the rough-leaved family (borage family). It occurs mainly in the Mediterranean zone, but also in Poland, where it can be found both as a wild weed and a cultivated plant. It owes its name to the fact that its leaves have the smell and taste of cucumber, and another characteristic feature that makes it easy to spot among other plants growing in the meadow is its eye-catching blue flowers, which are somewhat star-shaped.
However, it is not the flowers that have made it a subject of interest for years by dietitians and many people who want to take care of their health. Borage seeds are considered one of the richest sources of beneficial gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).
  • Borage has a soothing effect on the respiratory tract and facilitates breathing, relieves inflammatory pain and helps maintain the flexibility and mobility of joints, improves the excretion of water by the kidneys;
  • Linoleic acid (LA) helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels;
